Ms. Roveeda Ahmed oversees Business Development and is the Managing Director of JAMS of Portland, LLC. She brings 25 years of experience and expertise in business development, management and operations.
Ms. Ahmed holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration Finance Law, a Comprehensive Human Resource Management certification and is an alumna of the Fellows Leadership Program – Class V11, from the Institute of Non-Profit Management from Portland State University. Currently she serves as a Commissioner on Oregon Commission on Asian Affairs (OCAA) appointed by Governor Ted Kulongoski.
Ms. Ahmed has worked in the private and non-profit sectors, in the areas of operations, management, human resources (HR) and board development. She does consulting work with micro-business and nonprofit organizations. She works directly with growth and development, and offers solutions that will help micro-businesses grow and continue to do business locally and overseas. Ms. Ahmed has also provided professional leadership development education to minority and under-served business.
Ms. Ahmed has worked with domestic violence organizations and is deeply committed to improving and empowering the lives of women and children. She has worked very closely with the Department of Justice to meet the needs of an under-served population while promoting the organization she Chaired.)
She has served on various non-profit boards in many different capacities. During her time in management and board governance she has honed her interpersonal skills and enjoys bringing them to others. She is also known for her ability to win community support, develop key coalitions and build relationships with a shared sense of purpose.
